Since my digital artwork has always included the figure in the landscape, it seemed appropriate to include portraits and landscapes that I have made.
The photograph above was from a family car trip. I used the image above and several others like it in my first digital work created in 1986. I used the metaphor of the car trip to represent a person's travel through life. The land in my work soon suggested the quality of life.
My landscapes and portraits often reference 19th century photography such as the round images of the first Kodak Brownie cameras.
